360Nook AI Browser Control — Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy covers the 360Nook AI Browser Control extension for Google Chrome. It explains exactly what the extension reads, what it sends, where that goes, and what it never touches. It adds to the main 360Nook Privacy Policy, which covers your 360Nook account and workspace.

1. What the extension does

The extension lets Ask AI, the assistant inside your 360Nook account, open and work on web pages for you when you ask it to — for example "check this website's contact form" or "find this business's opening hours". It works only in tabs it opened itself, gathered in a tab group named 360Nook AI, so you can see everything it does.

It does nothing until you switch it on in its toolbar popup and allow it to open websites (Chrome asks you for that permission separately). You can switch it off, or remove the website permission, at any time.

2. What it reads

Only from tabs inside its own 360Nook AI tab group, and only when Ask AI sends a command because you asked for something:

  • the address (URL) and title of the page;
  • the visible text of the page, up to about 12,000 characters;
  • a list of up to 180 buttons, links and form fields on the page — each one's kind, its label (up to 80 characters) and, for links, its address;
  • a screenshot (JPEG) of that tab after each step, for the live preview in Ask AI.

Whatever is shown on a page it opens is what it reads. If you ask it to open a page that displays personal information, that information is part of the page text it reads.

3. What it never reads or does

  • It never reads, captures or acts on any tab outside its own tab group.
  • It does not read your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, or other extensions.
  • It does not read or store your cookies or passwords. Your existing 360Nook sign-in is attached by Chrome to its requests to 360Nook, the same way it is when you open 360Nook in a tab; the extension never sees its value.
  • It refuses to type into password and payment-card fields. Ask AI is told to ask you to fill those in yourself.
  • It does not load or run code from anywhere else. Everything it runs is in the package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.
  • It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.

4. Where the data goes

What the extension reads is sent over HTTPS to one place only: your 360Nook account — https://app.360nook.com unless you entered a different 360Nook address in the popup. It is sent nowhere else by the extension.

Inside 360Nook:

  • Page address, title, text and the list of page elements are given to Ask AI to answer your request. Ask AI is processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, depending on the model), as described in section 5 of the 360Nook Privacy Policy. The page content is sent to that provider as part of the request, under the same terms.
  • Screenshots are kept only in the 360Nook server's memory, to show the live preview in your Ask AI panel. Only the latest one per user is kept, each replaces the one before, and none is written to a database or to disk; they are gone when the server restarts.
  • Ask AI's replies to you (which may quote what it read) are saved in your Ask AI conversation history like any other Ask AI conversation, until you delete that conversation. The raw page text is not stored separately.

5. What is stored in your browser

The extension keeps a few settings in Chrome's local extension storage, on your computer only: whether it is switched on, the 360Nook address, the identifiers of its own tab group and tabs, and its last connection status. They are removed when you uninstall the extension.

6. Sharing and sale

We do not sell data the extension collects, do not use it for advertising or credit decisions, and do not transfer it to anyone except the AI provider processing your Ask AI request, as described above. The use of this data is limited to providing the browser-control feature you asked for.

7. Permissions it asks Chrome for

PermissionWhy
Access to app.360nook.comTo receive Ask AI's commands from your 360Nook account and send back the results.
Access to websites (asked separately, optional)To open the pages you ask Ask AI to visit, read them and click or type on them — only in its own tab group.

AlarmsTo keep its connection to 360Nook awake while it is switched on.

8. Your choices

  • Switch the extension off in its popup, or remove its website access in Chrome's extension settings, and it stops reading pages immediately.
  • Uninstall it from chrome://extensions to remove it and its local settings.
  • Delete Ask AI conversations from your Ask AI history at any time.
  • For anything else, including access or deletion requests under Thailand's PDPA or the GDPR, see the 360Nook Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

If the extension starts reading or sending anything not listed here, we will update this page before releasing that version, and change the date at the top.
